85L Hunting pack.
The roar is just around the corner, and the next batch hot off the sewing machine are 85L hunting packs. Built for bush bashing, Built for the roar.
Designed to be lightweight without compromising comfort or toughness, these packs are built to handle serious loads in serious country.
Here’s what they’re packing:
Larger curved hip belts for better weight transfer.
25mm frame for solid load carrying.
Ultra 400 on the side pockets, front pocket, and base for extra abrasion resistance.
Grey packs built with Ultra 200 main body.
Camo packs made from EPLX 600 — slightly heavier, but they look absolutely awesome.
The front pocket features a flap with clips to keep debris out and your gear secure when you’re crawling through thick bush. No shock cord on the front — intentionally left off to stop it snagging.
Storage layout:
Left side: taller pocket designed to fit a spotting scope or bipod nicely.
Right side: regular height pocket plus rifle dropper along with a double-pull upper side strap system to properly lock in your rifle and stop sway.
Rifle dropper keeps the rifle sitting lower for better balance and less snagging on trees.
They have the removable compression straps and a top Y-strap. To help compress the pack down with less gear.
I’ve also added two small tabs at the base of the front pocket. These act as extra lashing points — ideal for securing a large head — or can be used to create removable ice axe loops (just run a cord loop through them). Keeping it sleek in summer, but add functionality in winter.
Weight is expected to be around 1.5kg — I’ll confirm once I’ve put them on the scales.
These were made as a ready-to-go batch, but the three medium sizes have already sold. If you have missed out on a pack and really wanted one you can still fill in the order form at the bottom and i will add your name to a list for next time I make some.
